Description
Aromas: Red cherry, red currant, toffee, caramel, smoked meat, tobacco, leather, coffee, and wet cedar.
Flavors/experience: Dry. Medium-high acidity. Medium-full body. Ripe, black raspberry, black cherry, and brambleberry. Fine, structured tannin. A medium-long finish shifts to savory notes of bitter dark chocolate, sea salt, cola, oregano oil, and white pepper. Very good quality.
Specifications: A red blend reminiscent of a Portuguese Douro wine, grown and produced entirely in Australia’s McLaren Vale appellation by d’Arenberg. 37% Tempranillo, 36% Grenache, 25% Souzao, and 2% Tinta Cao. 14.5% alcohol.
