Description
Aromas: Baked black cherry, stewed plum, brown sugar, pie crust, nutmeg, pine needle, and pencil box.
Flavors/experience: Dry; High acidity; Medium-full body. Sour cherry, red plum, pomegranate, and raspberry preserves. Focused, bitter tannin with green tea and grapefruit pith. A long finish shows, orange oil, cola, and anise. Very good quality.
Specifications: 100% old vine Tempranillo, the first in Northern Spain to be given the highest quality classification (similar to Grand Cru in France). from D.O.P. Pago de Arínzano, Spain. 14.5% alcohol.
Somm tip: Some sediment visible; Careful decanting recommended.
