Flavors/experience: Dry; Medium+ acidity; Medium+ body. Ripe plum, fig, and dried blueberry. Well structured, stemmy tannin. A medium+ finish with gentle notes of oolong tea and wintergreen. Very good quality.
Specifications: 100% Touriga Nacional from the appellation of Dāo DOC in Portugal. Aged for 6 months in neutral oak barrels. 13% alcohol.
Somm. notes: Touriga Nacional is a red grape variety grown in Portugal. It is distinct, but sometimes compared to Cabernet Sauvignon for its presentation of dark fruits, tannin, and complexity. Touriga Nacional is also one of the grapes found in the traditional Portuguese Douro red wine blend.
