Aromas: Aromas of plum, cocoa powder, cherry and cordial with dried aromatic herbs.
Flavors/experience: Dry. Medium-high acidity. Sour cherry, black tea and cherry pit on the palate. Dusty tannin profile with mid-palate grip and a generous coffee bean finish. Alcohol and acid are moderate and balanced. A lingering finish.
A soft wine, with good concentration that combines the complexity with the richness of the international vine varieties, the sapidity and drinkability of the Corvina and the Verona territory.
Specifications: A blend of 80% Original Corvina clones (Rizza, Nera and Corvinone), 10% Cabernet, 5% Sangiovese, and 5% Syrah. Long post-fermentation maceration. Devatted when slightly sweet and completes fermentation in wood. Ageing in traditional, 750-litre “Veronese casks” of chestnut and cherry wood for 18 months. 13% alcohol.
