Flavors/experience: Dry. Medium-high acidity. Ripe blackberry, cassis, black plum, and root spices. Structured, velvety tannin. A long finish with licorice, chili pepper, and black pepper. Very good quality.
Specifications: Not your typical Mendocino wine. Produced from the oldest biodynamic vineyard in California, northeast of Alexander Valley, single vineyard, rising to 2200 ft. elevation. 81% Syrah, 14% Petite Sirah, 4% Grenache, and 1% Viognier. 15.2% alcohol.
