DAOU 2019 Pessimist Red Blend



Aromas: Black raspberry, baked blackberry, violet, rose petal, chicory, potting soil, and pencil lead.

Flavors/experience: Dry; Medium acidity; Full body. Pronounced brambleberry, black currant, balsamic, basil, and pie crust. Very fine tannin with a hint of thistle. A lingering finish carries black pepper, licorice, and eucalyptus long after their bus fare has expired. Very good quality.

Specifications: A blend of 74% Petite Sirah, 13% Zinfandel, and 13% Syrah, aged in 60% new French oak, from Paso Robles AVA, California. 92 points, Jeb Dunnuck. 15.2% alcohol.
