Seghesio 2015 Old Vine Zinfandel



Aromas: Dusty raspberry, tayberry, red plum, black truffle, bread crust, browned sugar, and vanilla.
Flavors/experience: Dry; Medium-high acidity; Medium-full body. Black raspberry, cola, cinnamon, and white pepper. Fine, silky tannin. A lingering finish with coffee, toffee, and mint oil. Outstanding quality.
Specifications: From 80-year old vines. 92% Zinfandel, 7% Petite Sirah, 1% Alicante Bouschet. Barrel aged 15 months in 20% new French oak.93 points, Wine Spectator; 94 points, Robert Parker; 94 points, Jeb Dunnuck. 15.4% alcohol.
