In this class, we discuss both historical and recent influences upon Chile’s wine industry, and examine eight wines demonstrating the wide range of Chilean wines produced!

Description

This class covers some of the major wine styles and varietals produced in Chile. To prepare, you will want to source the following eight (8) Chilean wines. These are available in the Pacific Northwest wine market. If you cannot find them, a suitable alternative is to source a variety of white and red wines from Chile as noted below:

  • Chardonnay from Casablanca Valley
  • Sparkling Pais from Maule Valley
  • Carménère from Colchagua Valley
  • Cabernet Sauvignon from Colchagua Valley
  • Full-bodied red blend with Bordeaux and Rhone varietals
  • Carménère-Syrah blend from Elqui Valley
  • Syrah from Colchagua Vallely
  • A Cabernet Sauvignon-dominant red blend from Maule Valley
