This class covers some of the major winegrowing regions of Spain, and the types of wines, blends, and varietals produced in each. To prepare, you will want to source the following eight (8) kinds of Spanish wines. These are available in the Pacific Northwest wine market. If you cannot find them, a suitable alternative is to source a variety of white, red, and sherry/jerez wines from Spain, or from the respective regions as noted below:
- Sparkling Cava
- Rias Baixas Abariño
- Rioja Tempranillo
- Monastrell
- Old Vine Garnacha
- Cariñena and Syrah Blend
- Ribera del Duero Tempranillo
