Aromas: Subtle cherry, blueberry, caramel, wet stone, and white pepper.
Flavors/experience: Medium-high acidity is balanced by unctuous minerality. Red and dark fruit flavors are countered by mushroom and earth, and slight mint note on a medium-long finish. An easy-drinking, medium-bodied wine of overall very good quality.
Specifications: A blend of 2/3 Gamay Noir and 1/3 Pinot Noir, Passetoutgrain is a French term meaning “pick them all”, and pays homage to a Bourgogne method of allowing both Pinot Noir and Gamay Noir grapes to be fermented from a single block, in which both cultivars may be found. This wine exemplifies how the primary varietals combine into a harmonious mélange. It was produced with 100% Willamette Valley grapes. 13.9% alcohol.
