Aromas: Ripe blackberry, succulent black plum, dried currant, black tea, and licorice.
Flavors/experience: A full-bodied wine with layers of ripe and dried red fruits. Lively acids are held in check with structured tannin.
From the Australian McLaren Vale appellation, this Cabernet Sauvignon was produced in a leggero appassimento style, with 20% of the grapes dried and added for a secondary ferment. It’s beautiful to see an Australian winemaker using Italian methods to create a Bordeaux-style red.
