Specifications: Produced from the Furmint grape varietal, this is a “late harvest” wine produced by allowing the grapes to remain on the vine for several weeks after the typical harvest time. The cool, misty, Hungarian autumn weather fuels development of botrytis cinerea, a mold also known as “noble rot”, that dries out the grapes, concentrating their sugars. The mold itself is harmless and goes into the resulting wine, adding secondary and tertiary flavors that add structure to the sweet profile. 11% alcohol.
